I have been having problems with Aero coming and going. Just by chance I was checking device manager and there it was the new ATI driver date.....7-31-06. Could this be causing the coming and going of Aero? When I roll back the driver I end up with a generic AGP driver. And resolution maxes out at 1024 x 768. My max resolution should be 1280 x 800. I have system restored to get it (Aero Glass) back, but am tired of doing this.

ATI Driver Date 7-31-06
Check the date again, please. We are still in June.
